Throughout the year 2023, our students showcased their dedication and talent by actively participating in various levels of chess tournaments. Their hard work and commitment paid off, as many of them claimed well-deserved prizes.
We especially wanted to share the outstanding achievement of Adrian Wong, a student from Cherrybrook Technology High School. Adrian secured an impressive first-place finish in the highly competitive Interschool Chess Tournament 2023. Please refer to the attached announcement in the CTHS newsletter.
We also proudly announce the triumph of Kyo Takahashi from North Ryde Public School, who won as the champion in the School Chess Club 2023 tournament. Kindly find the attached announcement in the NRPS newsletter.
Kevin Chen, one of our top students from Normanhurst Boys High School, also won quite a few prizes in 2023, including “1st Placed Individual Player” in Interschool Chess Challenge Secondary Division Local Heat; “3rd Placed Individual Player” in Interschool Chess Challenge Secondary Division Semi Final. Well done, Kevin!
