Norwest Chess Academy hosted the Chess Tournament on 14th March 2021. It was a heavy raining day, however, it was a perfect day for children playing indoor games, like chess. All students put great efforts in each game and meanwhile, enjoyed the games.
Special thanks to Suresh and Stuart, who assisted as supervisors in this tournament!
We would like to name below students who played outstanding results during this tournament:
- Our Champion: Benjamin Tee. Benjamin is 9 years old and has been participating in our Chess Tournaments since 2019. He is an enthusiastic and persistent chess player. Well done! Benjamin.
- Luke Garma. Luke is 6 years old and won 5 games out of 7. Given his young age, this result is very impressive!
- Michael Dsa. Michael is only 5 years old and this is his first time participating in a Chess Tournament. He won 3 games and drew one game. Great achievement!

Norwest Chess Academy hosts monthly chess tournaments. Attending tournaments gives students chances to experience competition and practise chess skills learned in classes. We encourage students to participate.
